SHIGEYUKI YUNOKI (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) to explain how we collect, use, and protect personal information in connection with the mobile application “Simple Habits” (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information to provide our services.
1.1 Account Information
- Email address: Used for login authentication, password reset, and important service notifications
- User identifier: A unique ID issued internally by our authentication service
1.2 Information You Provide Within the App
- Habit data: Habit names, weekly goals, completion records, memos, notification settings, and goal change history
- Active habit selection: Which habits you have selected as “active” (up to 5) when using the App without a premium subscription
1.3 Purchase Information
- Subscription status: Premium plan enrollment, expiration date, plan type (monthly/yearly), free trial usage history
- Purchase tokens: Verification tokens issued by Apple App Store or Google Play (these tokens are not stored directly by the App, but are managed by our payment processing partner RevenueCat)
1.4 Automatically Collected Information
- Device information: OS version, App version (for troubleshooting)
- Crash and error logs: Technical information collected when the App terminates unexpectedly or encounters an error (for troubleshooting; sent to the error monitoring service Sentry)
2. How We Use Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes.
- Provision of the App’s features (habit management, notifications, sync of completion records, reflection feature, etc.)
- Account authentication and security
- Provision and management of subscription services
- Responding to inquiries
- Detection and prevention of unauthorized use
- Quality improvement and development of new features
- Compliance with applicable laws
3. Third Party Recipients and Service Providers
The App uses the following service providers to deliver its services. We share only the minimum necessary information with these providers within the scope of the purposes set forth in this Policy.

Data is transferred to and processed in the countries where these providers operate, including outside your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to such international transfers.
Other than as set forth above, we do not disclose or provide personal information to any third party except in the following cases.
- When the user has consented
- When required by applicable laws
- When necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property, and obtaining the user’s consent is difficult
4. Where and How Long We Store Information
- Habit data and account information: Stored in encrypted form in Supabase databases (US region) and retained until the account is deleted
- Subscription information: Stored in RevenueCat databases (US) according to RevenueCat’s retention policies
- After account deletion request: When you delete your account, associated data will be erased within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days), except where retention is required by law
5. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information.
- Access: You can view your habit data within the App
- Correction: You can edit your habit data within the App
- Deletion: You can delete your account and associated data via “Settings” → “Delete Account” within the App
- Withdrawal: You can terminate use of the service by deleting your account as described above
- Complaints: For questions or complaints about the handling of your personal information, please contact us at the address provided at the end of this Policy
6. Security Measures
We implement the following measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of the personal information we collect.
- All communications are encrypted via HTTPS
- Database access is restricted to authenticated requests by the user themselves (Row Level Security)
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
- We select service providers that maintain appropriate information security practices
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is not primarily intended for children under the age of 13. If a child under 13 uses the App, please ensure they do so under parental consent. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete such information.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The App is a native mobile application and does not use web browser cookies. However, the App may store data on your device (such as authentication tokens, settings, and habit caches) for the purpose of maintaining application state.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the App or via the contact email below. The updated Policy will be effective from the date it is posted on this page.
